No Media Changes
Offsite Backup does not use media and is scheduled to run automatically with our user friendly backup software.
No Drive Maintenance
Conventional backup strategies like tape rotation require regular maintenance/cleaning of the backup device to help increase the chance of a successful backup. There is no such issue with remote backup.
No Expensive Periodic Replacement of Media
Because remote backup does not use media there is no requirement to periodically replace tapes as they wear out.
Easy Restoration to any PC or Server
Files backed up offsite using our online backup software can be easily restored to any PC or server (as long as the customer encryption password is known). Traditional media backups such as tape cannot be restored without a compatible backup device and software.
Automatic Protection from Fire and Theft
Files are encrypted and sent remotely to our offsite backup server where they can only be restored using your encryption password.
Restore Files Deleted Several Days Ago
By setting a file retention option you can retain deleted files for several days (Typically 14). This way if you accidentally delete a file it can be easily recovered later without leaving your desk.
Automatic Backup Replication
Your online backup will be held on at least 2 offsite backup servers. This means that your office data and 2 remote backup servers would need to fail at the same time before your data was risked.

Excellent Security
Backups are automatically encrypted and stored encrypted on our offsite backup servers. Data can only be accessed with your personally selected encryption password.

Unlike traditional backup our remote backup service will backup only parts of files that have changed, making it very fast. This is done far more efficiently than with traditional backup software and does not require any media changes to restore that would have been needed with incremental backup to tape.
